DeFreitas & Associates Participates in ICAEC / World Bank Workshops at the ECCB in St. Kitts and Nevis

DeFreitas & Associates (D&A) was a proud participant at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean (ICAEC) / World Bank Operations and Quality Assurance Manuals Workshop and the  ISQC1 Training Workshop held at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) in St. Kitts and Nevis from May 27 to 31, 2013.

Accounting practitioners from across the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) were in attendance for both workshops that were aimed at not only strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean (ICAEC) but also enlightening participants of new Operations and Quality Assurance standards being implemented in the region.

Stanley DeFreitas, Managing Partner, and Gerald Smith, Associate Consultant from the firm’s Dominica office, represented D&A at both workshops.  Mr. DeFreitas commented that “the workshops were both instructive and valuable to all practitioners as new standards will greatly influence how we operate our respective firms and will ultimately have the greatest impact on the level and quality of work we provide for clients going forward.”
