Stan DeFreitas makes Keynote Address to the 5th Annual Caribbean Youth Entrepreneurship Conference in SVG

On September 13, 2012, Stan DeFreitas, Associate  Consultant at DeFreitas & Associates (D&A), was the keynote speaker at the 5th Annual Caribbean Youth Entrepreneurship Conference in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).  The theme of the conference was “Youth Entrepreneurship: The catalyst for a Sustainable Caribbean Economic take-off, Justice, Equity, Independence.”

The conference was hosted by Youth Business SVG, a non-profit organization aimed at assisting and developing young entrepreneurs in SVG, where regional attendees came from as far away as the Bahamas and Guyana, just to name a few.  Other sponsors included USAID and the Caribbean Group of Youth Business Trusts.

The keynote address made by Mr. DeFreitas was geared to the entrepreneurs at the conference.  He stated that” it was a pleasure to give some advice to young persons on the steps that should be taken when becoming an entrepreneur.  Given the current economic climate, youth unemployment must be combated with the growth and development of young entrepreneurs – it’s a great initiative.”
