Tax Time is Approaching in Canada – Let D&A assist with your Tax Filings

TAX TIME APPROACHING IN CANADA

Important Dates to Remember

This is our usual time of year when our firm reminds all our valuable clients and friends in Canada about the important dates surrounding the filing of your 2017 tax return.

What is the due date for a personal income tax return?

Answer: Personal income tax returns, except for those of self-employed individuals, will be due on April 30, 2018, as is any amount owing. Penalties and interest may be charged for late returns or late payments.

Self-employed individuals have until June 15, 2018 to file their 2017 personal tax returns, but any amounts owing must still be paid by April 30, 2018.

If you can’t afford to pay, file your tax return on time to avoid late-filing penalties!

When is the last day to contribute to my RRSP for 2017?

Answer: The deadline for making an RRSP contribution for the 2017 tax year is March 1, 2018.

For our existing clients, thank you for your support and your referrals from your respective personal and business networks are always appreciated.
